Hi Dawn,
Happy New Year! I'm so happy to hear everything went well and you're at your mom's house with your own pillows! We have a brand New Year with only great things to come! I am so proud of you! Can't wait to see you when I come back to Cleveland in a few months!! Love you, Dawn!!!
Nicole told me of your great beginnings to this New Year for you. Nice to read about your courage, support and love by all and I wish you the best of a happy healthy New Year!
Hi Dawn!! Happy New Year!!! I am so glad everything went well and you're home with the love and support of your family and friends. I wish I was one of the people who could 'drop by' and see you, but it's a heck of a commute from Florida!! I just want you to know how proud I am of you. Hang in there, it will all be worth it. Take care. Love, Michelle
A Wow Moment is a short story about an experience I have had after my weight loss surgery. Each story gives a small glimpse into my post-op life. Sometimes I describe something I can do that I couldn't do pre-op. Other times the moment is simply a realization I have had about myself or other people.
Some of these moments I expected, many were a total shock!
I hope that you enjoy reading each Wow Moment, but I also hope that you benefit from my experience in some small way each time.
Wow Moments
TAKING A BATH!!
Purchasing tall black boots..this was a true thrill
Going to the Playhouse Theater and sit comfortably
Wearing a size Large shirt instead of 6x
Having someone sit next to me on the bus
Normal looking feet, not swollen
Wearing sandles other than flip flops all summer
Trying on my old pair of pants
Shopping anywhere I want
Wrapping a towl around your body after a shower
Wearing a bathsuit in public
Wearing a size 36D Bra instead of a 52
Trying on clothes and EVERYTHING fits
Wearing a seatbelt
Buying a pair of pants other than the color black
Wearing a skirt
WEARING HIGH HEAL SHOES AND NYLONS
Buying new clothes and not the largest size
Hearing the words "I am proud of you"
Walking up a flight of stairs and not feeling a tight chest
Being able to shop at stores other than the Avenue
Going from a size 10 shoe to a size 8
Not being the "biggest" person in a crowd
Going to the indians game and comfortabley siting in the seat
What you make of your life is up to you... You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.
Dance as though no one is watching you Love as though you have never been hurt before Sing as though no one can hear you, Live as though heaven is on earth.
